Evening skate sessions just got a bit longer.

So I rushed out of work today just hoping to make up for some of the skating I had lost to the stagnant dribbling lazy-assed storm system that had been whizzing on us since Sunday night. I know full well how precious after work sessions are this time of year. Every afternoon the shadows stretch themselves out a little earlier, and the Mercury slumps a little lower. Pretty soon that critical ritual I have instituted to help me transition from "work me" to" home me" will be snatched away from me. My after work skate sessions will be lost to the cold, dark winter nights.

Tonight's session was pretty good, although my ribs are still killing me from the slam I took last week. All in all I felt pretty satisfied when I grabbed my board and headed for the exit as the sun sank behind the trees at 4:40. Then something amazing happened. The concrete began to flicker and glow. I looked up, smiled, and jumped back on my board.

Someone please find out who got the lights turned back on at the Fitchburg Ryan Jobert skatepark and thank them for me. Rumor has it they will be on every night till about 8.

B.T.W. don't forget the "day of awesomeness" 11/20, One week from Saturday.
